An Olive Oil Above The Rest
Mont’Alverne Olive Oil is a labor of love, rooted deeply in a family rich history in the Trás-os-Montes region of Portugal. For generations, the family has lovingly tended to its olive groves, carefully cultivating the perfect olives to produce this award-winning olive oil.
The Trás-os-Montes region, with its rugged terrain and extreme climate, provides the ideal conditions for producing olives that are rich in flavor and nutrients. The family’s commitment to sustainable farming practices ensures that their olive oil is not only delicious, but also environmentally friendly. And now also certified organic.
When you taste Mont’Alverne Olive Oil, you are not just experiencing a premium culinary product – you are immersing yourself in the centuries-old traditions and passion of family members who take great pride in their heritage and the land they call home.

From the Farm to Table
We Believe in Quality
For the last 9 years we have been improving 60 hectares of old olive trees with new trimming technics, sustainable fertilising and good agriculture practice in general. Since this old plantation (over 100 years old) was planted by stalking, there is a mix of different olive varieties, the most predominant one is the Verdeal Transmontana, but there is also Cobrançosa, Madural Transmontana and Negrinha de Freixo, giving what is called a “field blend”, creating a olive oil with unique characteristics and complexity.
We also planted an extra 10 hectares of Olive trees from the Cobrançosa and Madural Transmontana varieties for future blending.
